Although overshadowed by the glamour and attention attracted by the theme parks and sights of Orlando, the Space Coast has established itself as the Florida region where it all takes off. When NASA began launching rockets from Cape Canaveral in the 1950s, the Space Coast felt the boom as thousands of families flocked to the area.
